Origin and Early Days

Kalam Labs was founded in June 2021 by Ahmad Faraaz, Harshit Awasthi, and Sashakt Tripathi. The founders, all of whom are young entrepreneurs, envisioned a platform where education and gaming intersect to make learning more appealing to children.

Originally, Kalam Labs started with live multiplayer gaming, where children could attend virtual science lessons on topics like space and dinosaurs. Instructors would play mission-based games live, allowing kids to interact with them and each other through video and chat.

This approach earned Kalam Labs an international award for innovation in Finland, beating out competitors from several countries like the UK, Norway, Spain and Sweden. The platform’s curriculum was designed during the lockdown period and quickly gained recognition.
