Rescript: Pioneering Sustainable Stationery in India

Founded in 2019 by Ashutosh Ananth and Naren Raj, Rescript is a Bengaluru-based startup committed to transforming the paper industry through eco-friendly practices. The company produces 100% recycled, unbleached paper products, including copier paper, notebooks, journals, and stationery kits, aiming to reduce environmental impact without compromising on quality.

Rescript's mission is to combat deforestation and reduce carbon footprints by offering sustainable alternatives to traditional paper products. By utilizing recycled materials, the company contributes to saving trees and conserving water, aligning with its goal of saving 30,000 trees and 600 million liters of water by 2025.

The company's product line includes A4 copier paper, eco-friendly notebooks, planners, and stationery kits, all made from recycled paper. These products cater to both individual consumers and corporate clients, promoting sustainability across various sectors.

In March 2025, Rescript featured on Season 4 of Shark Tank India, presenting its innovative approach to sustainable stationery. While the company did not secure funding, the appearance increased its visibility and highlighted its commitment to environmental responsibility.

Operating primarily on a B2B model, Rescript derives 90% of its sales from corporate contracts, with the remaining 10% from online retail through its website. The company has not raised external funding and continues to expand its reach through partnerships and collaborations.

Rescript has partnered with organizations like Bengaluru FC to launch co-branded merchandise, further promoting sustainable practices. The company aims to continue its growth by introducing new products and expanding its market presence, contributing to a more sustainable future.
